Jessica Allen, Ashlee Schoene, Daniel and Sebastian Kucharski and Coach Nick Bulmer in Racice, Czech Republic on the 15th of September.

Congratulations to our Olympic Hopes representatives on a very competitive regatta in Racice, Czech Republic this past weekend. Conditions of 10 degrees and fog provided a challenge but the Aussie team performed well in a high class field. Thanks to Christine Duff for the photos. She also provided this round up of the results for Dan, Seb, Ashlee and Jess.

Our 16 girl Ashlee Schoene raced well and was eliminated in the semi final. Ashlee raced a great race with a huge PB and finished 4th. Had she been in the other semi she would have placed second. Great racing Ashlee.
Kobe Wilson and Sebastian Kucharski were 8th in their semi final and like all paddlers today they pushed to the end.
Tasman Farrell and Daniel Kucharski had the race of the day placing 4th in the final. They were second in their heat and placed third in their semi. They raced their hearts out and were exhausted when they finished.
The girls crews of Caitlyn and Shania, and Jess and Ashlee also managed through the semi round but were outclassed in that round to miss finals.
The final events of the day were the K4 boys and girls with the new boys event of 500’meters. The blades were flying as they flew down the course. Both crews in the men’s looked good and times were quite slick. The crew of Carter, Lachlan, Seb and Dan Peacock missed the final while the crew of Tasman, Dan Kucharski, Tom and Macgregor paddled over the Canadians to take 3rd place in the semis. They paddled their final at 7:25pm in the almost dark and finished 8th in a great and close race.
